The Chiller triathlon isn’t a serious or timed triathlon. All the competitors stay together during the swim, bike & run stage to brave the cold & work off the Christmas & New Year excesses. Staying together makes it a fun triathlon.
Have I got the correct equipment?
All competitors must:
Wear a wet suite for the swim stage of the triathlon.
Wear a cycle helmet for the bike stage of the triathlon.
GOOLE TRIATHLON CLUB WILL NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY INJURY OR ACCIDENT
When & where do I need to register for the 2018 Chiller Triathlon?
Please can all entrants arrive with time to register and prepare for the event.
Pre-race registration is between 9:45am & 10:45am on New Years Day 2018 at:
Barmby Barrage, Barmby on the Marsh, Howden, East Yorkshire, DN14 7HX.
The current in the River Derwent is with the swimmers, however there is very little current in the 500 metre stretch of the river we use.
What happens to the wet gear after the swim stage?
Any wet gear from the swim stage of the triathlon that is not collected by your friends & family will be collected at Loftsome Bridge by a Goole Triathlon volunteer after the swim and be transported to the finish line at The Sotheron Arms (Heppy's) in Hook for you to collect after the triathlon is completed.
Are the bikes collected?
Can all entrants be responsible for getting their bikes to starting point at Loftsome Bridge Coaching House, however if you do need help getting your bike from the race registration point of The Sotheron Arms (Heppy's) in Hook to the starting point at Loftsome Bridge, please can you send Goole Triathlon Club an e-mail using the Contact Us form below so we can arrange transport.
